Meet
Gilles

I’m Gilles, founder of Your Normandy Tour, a private driver-guide passionate about sharing the very best of Normandy. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, I’ve been welcoming travelers from around the world for more than 30 years, creating tailor-made experiences designed around each guest.
You'll always speak directly with me
I personally answer every email, design every itinerary and make sure every detail of your tour is just right

Normandy has always been Home
I was born and raised in Normandy, where my family has lived for generations. Growing up surrounded by its history, landscapes, and traditions sparked a lifelong passion that still inspires me every day.
For more than 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming travelers from around the world and sharing the places that mean the most to me.
From gastronomy to guiding
Before becoming a full-time guide, I studied culinary arts and founded La Compagnie des Calvados in Honfleur in 1994.
Working with local producers gave me a deep appreciation for Normandy’s gastronomy, traditions, and craftsmanship—an experience that still shapes many of the tours I create today.

From Normandy to Mexico
In 2007, my family and I moved to Mexico, where I spent fourteen years discovering another fascinating culture.
There, I created Playa Private Tours, a company specializing in tailor-made private experiences. Those years taught me that every traveler is different and that the best tours are never “one size fits all.”

Designing every experience
Returning to Normandy felt like coming home.
Today, I personally design every itinerary offered by Your Normandy Tour.
Whether your guide is me, Marcus, or Quentin, every route, every stop, and every recommendation has been carefully planned by me to ensure the same level of quality, flexibility, and attention to detail.

Why I still love this job
History has always been my greatest passion, especially the story of D-Day and Normandy during the Second World War.
But what I enjoy most is meeting people.
Every tour is different because every family, every couple, and every traveler brings a unique story. That’s what makes this profession so rewarding after all these years.

Meet
Quentin
Driver-Guide
Quentin is a history graduate and driver-guide with a deep interest in Normandy’s past. He loves turning historical facts into meaningful stories and helping visitors understand not only what happened here, but also the people behind those events.
For him, a great tour should be informative, engaging, and above all, personal.
"History is best understood through the stories of people"

A passion for history
Quentin holds a university degree in History, providing him with a strong academic foundation and a genuine passion for understanding the past. He enjoys bringing history to life through engaging storytelling, making every site easy to understand while revealing the people and events behind it.

From Normandy to the World
Before joining Your Normandy Tour, Quentin lived in both Australia and Italy, experiences that strengthened his English and broadened his understanding of different cultures.
Back in Normandy, he spent several years working at the Tourist Office in Beuvron-en-Auge, one of France’s most beautiful villages. There, he developed an in-depth knowledge of the region and gained valuable experience helping visitors discover its history, heritage, and traditions.
Sharing the best of Normandy
Today, Quentin combines his academic background, international experience, and passion for Normandy to create memorable experiences for every guest.
Whether exploring the D-Day beaches, medieval towns, or the Norman countryside, he enjoys adapting each tour to the interests of his guests.
His goal is simple: to make every visitor leave Normandy with unforgettable memories and a deeper understanding of its history and culture.

A Calm and Caring Presence
As a driver, Karine is known for her calm, careful, and reassuring approach. She mainly operates private transfers between Paris and Normandy, allowing guests to travel comfortably and safely between each destination.
Always attentive to the well-being of passengers, she helps make every journey relaxed and enjoyable from the moment guests step into the vehicle.
