GIVERNY – STEP INTO MONET’S WORLD

We begin our day in Giverny, the peaceful village where Claude Monet lived and painted for more than forty years. An early arrival allows us to discover this remarkable place before the busiest part of the day and experience the landscapes that became inseparable from the story of Impressionism.

MONET’S HOUSE & GARDENS – A LIVING MASTERPIECE

Explore Monet’s colorful flower garden, his charming home and the famous Japanese-inspired water garden. Here, the water lilies, reflections and changing light provided endless inspiration for his paintings. Walking around the pond and across the Japanese bridge offers a unique opportunity to see the landscapes through Monet’s eyes.

ROUEN – LUNCH IN THE MEDIEVAL HEART OF NORMANDY

After Giverny, we continue to Rouen, Normandy’s historic capital and one of France’s most beautiful medieval cities. Before beginning our guided visit, we’ll take time for lunch in the historic center, where I can recommend anything from a traditional Norman restaurant to a simple local brasserie.

ROUEN – CATHEDRAL, GROS-HORLOGE & MEDIEVAL STREETS

Our walking tour takes us through Rouen’s remarkable historic center, from the Renaissance Gros-Horloge and picturesque half-timbered streets to the magnificent Gothic cathedral famously painted by Claude Monet. Along the way, we’ll discover how centuries of medieval prosperity shaped the city we see today.

JOAN OF ARC – THE STORY THAT SHAPED ROUEN

No visit to Rouen would be complete without discovering the story of Joan of Arc. We’ll visit the Place du Vieux-Marché, where she was executed in 1431, and explore the streets connected with her final days, bringing to life one of the most dramatic chapters in French history.
