GIVERNY-ROUEN-JUMIEGES
between impressionism and history

Claude Monet is one of the most famous artists in history. His work has been celebrated and coveted for generations, but his home and studio remain open to the public.

This beautiful tour takes you through the countryside to the village of Giverny, where Monet lived and worked. You'll see his famous water lilies garden and learn about his life as an artist.

Then we'll stop off at a local gastronomic restaurant for lunch (optional).

From there, we'll head over to Rouen—the city that inspired Monet's famous series "The Cathedral at Rouen." We'll also take a walk through the medieval streets of Rouen while learning more about this iconic artist's life.
Finally, we'll end our day with a tour of Jumièges Abbey—one of Normandy's best-preserved Romanesque abbeys—and its beautiful gardens.

This tour is completely flexible so we can adjust it based on what interests you most. We can add or remove stops as needed, so if you'd like to see more of Monet's work or explore Rouen's medieval architecture in depth, let me know !
